Under healthy conditions every body tissue is slightly basic (pH-value approx. 7.4). There are always new acids being produced in metabolism but they will be intercepted by a complicated “buffer system” rsp. will be discharged from the body by various mechanisms.

Only few organ systems differ from this pH-value. The stomach has got a very acid environment as it functions as barrier against germs and as it produces gastric acid for digestion. The pancreas has got a very high pH-value in order to neutralize the relatively acid digestive pulp on its way through the stomach.

Acids will be removed very fast from the bloodstream. The same however does not apply to tissue that is chronic inflammatory or circulatory disordered. It should be pointed out in this context that cancer cells can adapt themselves ideally to tissue that is over acidified and that they can use this facility for their own purpose.

The cells of the body defence are extremely sensible to acids and stop all activities at a pH-value of 7.2.

It must therefore be our aim to eliminate acids from the body and if possible to aspire to a slightly basic pH-value of 7.4. After the diagnostic investigation we will work out and recommend therapeutic possibilities.
